What you'll do
As a Tax Associate, you’ll be working with your colleagues on tax and regulatory activities, including activities relating to bank levy, corporate income tax, value added tax, statutory audit, tax returns and customer tax integrity review. You’ll be helping with transfer pricing matters in relation to cross-border transactions.
Your other key responsibilities will be:
- Assisting with the delivery of direct and indirect tax compliance
- Supporting interim and year-end tax accounting processes, ensuring alignment with group financial reporting
- Advising and supporting the business on tax matters and transfer pricing
- Providing ad-hoc tax support to organisation-wide projects
- Liaising with the Dutch tax authorities on a regular basis
- Developing and maintaining key relationships with the wider teams within the department to ensure the effectiveness of processes, data quality, and reporting across the business
- Keeping technical knowledge up to date
The skills you'll need
We’re looking for someone with an academic degree in tax law or fiscal economics, and with a strong knowledge of Dutch tax law and international regulations. Attention to detail is key in this role, and you’ll have the ability to analyse and evaluate multiple sources of information effectively.
You’ll also need:
- An analytical mindset with hands-on mentality
- To be fluent in Dutch and English
- The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a pressurised environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain good relationships with key stakeholders
