ACCOUNTING & FINANCEWhat We Do
Our Finance and Accounting teams build the financial infrastructure to scale our growing company. We combine analytical and strategic thinking to develop a sound financial future for our global brand. We work closely with teams across the company, international subsidiaries, as well as with external partners to ensure a world-class finance organization. Our team contains experts from fields like tax, treasury, purchasing, FP&A, and more.
What You'll Do
Epic Games is looking for a Tax Analyst to assist with preparing financial statements and to help with maintaining compliance with all tax laws and regulations and tax filings.
In this role, you will
- Prepare income tax provision and income tax return calculations for Q1-Q4 consolidated GAAP financial statements and income tax compliance
- Review US federal/state and international tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations
- Assist in the development and implementation of tax planning strategies to minimize the company's tax liabilities while maximizing benefits
- Conduct research on tax issues and stay up to date on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for tax savings
- Collaborate with internal teams under finance controllership, including legal, FP&A, payroll, and accounting, to provide tax advice and support for business initiatives, transactions, and projects
- Assist with tax audits and inquiries, including gathering documentation, responding to inquiries from tax authorities, and resolving tax issues as needed
- Maintain tax records, documentation, and systems to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with recordkeeping requirements
What we're looking for
- 3-5 years of related work experience
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance; CPA or advanced degree (MST, LLM) preferred
- Experience with financial reporting deadlines, public company or private, including SOX control documentation
- Experience with US international tax calculations, including transfer pricing and tax treaties, preferred
- Proficiency in OneSource tax software including Tax Provision (OTP) and Income Tax (OIT) preferred
- Proficiency in Alteryx and/or Tableau in addition to being an Excel ninja is preferred
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex tax issues and communicate findings effectively
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Interest in gaming preferred
