We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager to oversee our Americas Talent Acquisition (TA) team based in Costa Rica and join our global TA organization. This leadership role is pivotal in ensuring the team delivers a quality pipeline of candidates into our Americas organization to contribute to the strategic goals of our business. Leading efficient and effective recruitment processes, supporting our stakeholders and enhancing overall team performance are key deliverables for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Service Leadership: Collaborate with the key stake holders to ensure a process that delivers on cost, quality and speed to deliver the top talent to Huntsman. Ensure regular engagement and feedback with our stakeholder base to identify areas for continued improvement.
  • Expert Guidance: Establish yourself as the expert on candidate search and sourcing in the Americas, helping your team work with stakeholders in understanding how to match business needs to the market, identifying solutions to recruiting challenges and working with our procedures and tools.
  • Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day operations of the TA team, providing support and resolving queries from TA partners, HR Business Partners (HRBPs), and key stakeholders. Undertake key business recruitments personally.
  • Performance Delivery : Regularly review team and individual requisition volumes, status and progress vs. service targets to drive overall team delivery.
  • Coaching and Growth : Guide and mentor team members through the full-cycle recruiting process, enhancing their capabilities and performance in delivering TA service excellence. Develop individualized plans for team members, identifying actions to increased personal effectiveness.
  • Project Oversight: Manage both personal and team projects, ensuring timely completion and updating on progress regularly.
  • GBS Team: Act as a key member of the Costa Rica leadership team, providing status updates and metrics on TA activities within the GBS hub and supporting GBS specific TA programs.

Recruiting Capabilities; Candidates should be able to demonstrate Functional Expertise and have a proven track record of filling higher-level roles and challenging profiles. Key skills for both self and leading team performance include:

  • Conducting in-depth intake calls with hiring managers to clarify profile needs
  • Designing sourcing plans which leverage various recruiting tools (job boards, social media, LinkedIn, AI, etc.) to build a robust candidate pipeline and ensure efficient and effective screening processes.
  • Engaging for feedback and calibration, continuously reviewing manager feedback and refining search strategies and candidate profiling based on ongoing insights and maintaining proactive communication throughout the recruitment process.
  • Coaching for efficient process execution, ensuring effective panel interview processes, coaching managers on probing questions and candidate evaluation coupled with strong communication and prompt follow-up with candidates.
  • Being able to utilize TA data effectively with both the TA team and stakeholders to convey a factual picture of the recruiting process
  • Being able to use digital tools effectively (both current and new) to deliver TA service performance
  • Landing the candidate and being able to sell the benefits of the role and working for Huntsman and collaborating with stakeholders to set offer expectations and finalize offers successfully

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
 
The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in Costa Rica.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience.
  • Proven experience in talent acquisition for at least 7 years, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in talent acquisition leadership for at least 3 years
  • Strong understanding of full-cycle recruiting processes and sourcing techniques.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and proven track record of stakeholder engagement
  • Ability to mentor and develop team members.
  • Familiarity with recruiting tools and technology, LinkedIn Recruiter and Social Media a must, knowledge of any other tools like Workday, Eightfold, CareerBuilder, Indeed & Glassdoor, AI tools, Microsoft applications a plus
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
