The Talent Acquisition Recruitment Specialist handles the end-to-end recruitment process across the APAC region, with opportunities to support recruitment efforts in other regions when needed. This role requires close collaboration with the local HR Manager to fulfil a portfolio of vacancies using traditional sourcing strategies and innovative recruiting methods. The Specialist will play a vital role in growing the quality of hires by providing hiring managers with access to the best possible talent while ensuring a detailed and efficient recruitment process.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will focus on direct sourcing activities and implementing efficient recruitment solutions to meet business needs. The role involves liaising with the local HR team, hiring managers, and the Regional Talent Acquisition Director to ensure the smooth delivery of recruitment services. Additionally, the Specialist will develop a strong candidate pipeline to meet current and future needs while carefully leading the expectations of both hiring managers and candidates.
 

What will you be doing?

  • The role involves strategic planning and execution of recruitment efforts, where collaboration with HR colleagues and hiring managers is key. This includes developing creative recruitment strategies, planning and executing recruitment events, and utilizing various sourcing methods like social media, job boards, and universities to attract candidates. The focus is on continuous improvement of recruitment processes and tools to ensure efficient performance, while also supporting workforce planning needs and anticipating future hiring demands.

  • Execution of the recruitment process is a critical aspect of the role, requiring sourcing, screening, and managing candidates through the end-to-end recruitment journey. This includes evaluating candidates’ skills, experience, and cultural fit, supporting a multi-site environment, and ensuring recruitment policies and practices are followed. Efforts also focus on reducing agency dependency by developing creative recruiting programs and ensuring the recruitment process complies with company policies and guidelines. Employer branding and developing recruitment metrics are also meaningful responsibilities in aligning recruitment efforts with organizational goals.

  • Reporting and communication are essential for supervising recruitment progress and ensuring transparency with business leaders. This includes providing clear updates on sourcing efforts for open roles, identifying areas where progress is lacking, and encouraging positive relationships with business leaders and HR colleagues. Additionally, the role may involve participation in cross-functional teams, handling special programs, and prioritizing site employee activities or events, all aimed at improving the recruitment process and employee experience.
     

What will you need to be successful?

  • The position is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and requires candidates with prior recruitment experience, including working with Applicant Tracking Systems and influencing multiple internal stakeholders. Experience in remote, geographically dispersed global teams is preferred, along with strong organizational and communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office is critical, and the role involves minimal travel.
