Your Role: Tactical Buyer

Opportunity for a Tactical Buyer to join our Above Water Systems (AWS) Team at Garden Island. As a crucial member of our team, you'll play a pivotal role in optimising our customer service rate and enhancing the reliability of our procurement process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between Thales and our suppliers.

  • Efficiently manage the end-to-end procurement process from creating orders to closure.

  • Implement Thales' purchasing strategy and utilize our ERP system and purchasing tools.

  • Take ownership of orders, ensuring timely deliveries, resolving issues, and updating information systems.

  • Proactively handle shortages, delays, and returns.

  • Continuously improve procurement strategy to balance inventory levels and delivery punctuality.
     

Your Skills:

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Proficiency in Excel and ERP purchasing tools.

  • Ability to anticipate needs, challenge suppliers, and mobilize resources.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ethical conduct and commitment to Thales values.

  • Experience in building internal and supplier relationships.

  • Knowledge of commercial contracts and order management processes.
