Responsibilities
Provide routing and switching support, design, and configuration in a Cisco Nexus and ASR environment utilizing BGP. Maintain and update network infrastructure including but not limited to Cisco Nexus switches, Cisco’s ISE, Cisco AnyClient VPN access, Cisco Viptella SD-WAN, F5 load balancers, Cisco Wireless Access points and wireless LAN controllers, CloudFlare, and ThousandEyes. Work with Palo Alto security products, site to site IPSec protocols, and AWS Cloud. Monitor and analyze network performance and provide reports on a regular basis. Prepare and follows detailed documentation, standards and guidelines for data network systems. Take corrective action to improve data network performance; travels to off-site locations to perform related work as required. Provide assistance and knowledge transfer to various IT departments on data networking. Respond to escalated situations and lead effective troubleshooting during production outages. Participate in on-call rotation for Level 3 support for escalations of production issues.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field and 3 years of experience in Palo Alto security products; site to site IPSec protocols; AWS Cloud; Cisco Nexus and ASR environment utilizing BGP; and maintaining and updating network infrastructure, including Cisco Nexus switches, Cisco’s ISE, Cisco AnyClient VPN access, F5 load balancers, and ThousandEyes.
