Cambridge International Systems, Inc. has a full-time Systems Engineer III opportunity available based in Charleston, SC. Qualified candidates for this job must possess a current DoD TS/SCI security clearance.

ROLE RESPONSIBILTIES 

  • Systems Engineer Overview 

  • Also known as Lead Systems Analyst, Network Engineer who can program, or Software Engineer who can manage networks 

  • Oversees the creation of hybrid software, web, and hardware products from initial specifications to final rollout and maintenance 

  • Integrates network operating systems, application programs, and hardware devices 

  • Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Manages the development cycle of software, hardware, and web applications, including: Specification, Design, Coding, Testing, Maintenance 

  • Role in Systems Engineering ensuring all pieces fit together to create a cohesive whole 

  • Focuses on both technical aspects and big-picture concerns 

  • Considers factors such as cost, schedules, and social issues related to the project 

Required QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Must possess an active DoD TS/SCI security clearance. 

  • Must be proficient in using different technologies such as computers and other tools and systems pertinent to the position. 

  • 7 years of IT professional experience overseeing the creation of hybrid software, web, and hardware products from initial specifications to final rollout and maintenance. 

  • Experience in integrating network operating systems, application programs, and hardware devices through: System specification, Design, Coding, Testing, Maintenance support 

  • Ability to evaluate the overall project design, considering: Cost, Schedule, Social issues associated with the project 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS 

  • In rare/some occasions, overnight travel may be required.

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT AND WORKING CONDITIONS 

  • Cambridge International Systems complies with Temporary Duty Station (TDY)/Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) vaccination requirements. If this position requires OCONUS travel (listed above), Vaccine Recommendations by AOR | Health.mil lists applicable current vaccination requirements by location. 

Office setting: 

  • Must be able to work in an office environment, sitting at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday. 

  • Work is physically comfortable; the employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc. 

  • May be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site.
