POSITION OVERVIEW
The Systems Engineer II performs systems design, test, and analysis in support of product development and manufacturing. This position is fully on-site at our Ottawa, Canada location.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform systems design in a cross-functional engineering team to develop and launch new products.
- Create, evaluate, and implement system architectures including interface definition and description.
- Develop and conduct system test procedures and methods for system verification and validation.
- Utilize analysis and simulation tools to aid in system design and test.
- Conduct cross-functional design reviews.
- Follow Gentex system engineering processes and ensure products meet Gentex quality standards.
- Stay current with technology, manufacturing, and industry trends to drive continuous improvement of products, process, and methods.
- Maintain a high level of honesty, integrity, and confidentiality with respect to company matters.
- Comply with all Company policies and procedures, safety regulations, company safety policies and safely perform all duties, including but not limited to, promoting a safe workplace.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
- 2+ years of relevant engineering work experience.
- Full professional written and verbal proficiency in English.
- Ability to travel to the United States.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
- Professional work experience in new product development.
- Professional work experience in Systems Engineering.
