A DAY IN THE LIFE:

As a Systems Engineer I, you will play an essential role in supporting systems engineering and solving technical challenges. You will assist with system problem resolution, data analysis, and performance evaluation as part of a cross-discipline engineering team. By applying foundational systems engineering processes, you will help translate customer needs into effective solutions while considering technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

  • Communicates Effectively: Provide responsive, concise, and accurate updates on service statuses, issues, and risks to internal and external customers.
  • Contributes to System Design: Offer recommendations for efficient and intelligent system/subsystem design.
  • Assists in Requirements Definition: Support the definition, flow-down, and traceability of system requirements.
  • Collaborates in Architecture Development: Participate in defining architectures and addressing complex system issues for advanced software-defined multifunction mission systems.
  • Works in a Team Environment: Interact with software, network, and systems engineers to develop efficient solutions.
  • Develops Design Requirements: Assist in creating detailed design requirements for hardware, software, firmware, and network deployment.
  • Supports Implementation and Troubleshooting: Help implement large-scale systems and architectures and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

YOU’RE AWESOME AT:

  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills for resolving complex system challenges.
  • Systems Engineering Processes: Familiarity with foundational systems engineering principles and their application.
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams across aerospace, electrical, mechanical, firmware, and software disciplines.
  • Communication and Documentation: Proficient in conveying technical updates and documenting design requirements.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to assist in system requirements and design implementation.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace or related field required.
  • 3-5 years of systems engineering experience.
  • Cross functional knowledge in aerospace, electrical, mechanical, firmware and software disciplines.
  • Experience with spacecraft design, development integration and test.
  • Must have demonstrated rigorous troubleshooting skills on a large scale information system
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
The starting base pay range for this position is $110,000 - $135,000 annually. Base pay will vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base pay, Innoflight offers a competitive compensation package that includes Profit-Sharing Bonus, Cash Performance Bonus, and a robust benefits package. Innoflight offers health care benefits such as medical, dental, vision, health savings accounts and life insurance. Ancillary benefits such as critical illness, accident, short term & long-term disability, pet insurance, ID & Legal Shield, Cal-Perks and EAP. You’ll also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 120 hours of paid time off (starting in year 1) and auto enrolled into our 401K with a 3% automatic company match.
