Job Summary
Our team of System Developers in the IT Portfolio Management Office is currently looking for an enthusiastic, collaborative and highly motivated team member to help us build, automate and streamline applications and processes within the IT PMOG division at HOOPP. Our team primarily works on three platforms – Microsoft Power Platform including data analytics in PowerBI, ServiceNow, and Azure. We build custom solutions and support large modules on behalf of the centralized IT Governance, IT Vendor Management, IT Project Management and Agile Center of Excellence functions which fall under the IT PMOG division. A successful candidate will have experience working on all three of our primary platforms or will be a subject matter expert in one of those platforms who is open to gaining experience in the others.
What you will do:

Plan, code, test and deploy incremental changes every week as a part of our agile development team

Collaborate directly with business partners on their roadblocks and goals, from whiteboard to deployment

Report on daily progress during team standups and biweekly to our stakeholders at sprint reviews

Proactively identify issues, bugs, and areas for improvement - and follow up with action items
-
Innovate new solutions that make a difference to the teams we support
What you bring:
-
Graduate of a college or university program in computer science, software engineering or similar program
-
Experience developing in cloud-based environments, specifically Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS)
-
Experience developing in the ServiceNow platform
-
Experience developing ETL workloads and data analytics reporting models
-
Experience consuming and working with data through APIs
-
Knowledge of object-oriented programming languages especially JavaScript
-
Strong verbal and written communication skills
-
Ability to work well in a dynamic and fast-moving team environment
-
High enthusiasm, self-starter and urgency to get things done
-
Personal interest in data analytics and reporting, recent certifications in Power BI, SQL/NoSQL analytics, or data analytics especially on the Azure cloud platform are considered strong assets

Strong familiarity with the ServiceNow platform, recent certifications in the ServiceNow platform are considered strong assets

Knowledge and understanding of the SCRUM and KANBAN Agile methodologies is considered an asset
