1901 Group at Leidos currently has an opening for a System and Tools Engineer to support a DOD customer. The System and Tools Engineer will be required to gain expertise in multiple systems administration areas across the customers enterprise. This is viewed as a critical role within the System Operations Team and will contribute substantially to the team’s success.
Primary Responsibilities

Perform account management tasks including adding, changing, and deleting user accounts in a secure RBAC environment.

Provide asset management workflow support

Perform end user Tier II and Tier III tasks, on site as required.

Manage a data center environment, including cabling, racking devices, and monitoring data center environment.

Perform tools integration tasks so the customers tool stack efficiently shares data across the the enterprise. Integration may be performed via Python and other scripting languages, system API, or tools configuration.

Provide system support during maintenance, upgrades, and migrations, and provide on-call support to ensure system availability.

Create scripts in PowerShell, Python, SQL, and/or bash as needed to automate and/or streamline repeatable processes.

Integrate new systems and tools into the enterprise.

Work with Cyber SME’s to create, test and deploy new and revised security settings as required

Review, Create and deploy Group Policy Objects

Maintain and utilize Active Directory groups, sites and services, as it pertains to enterprise infrastructure.

Create and maintain infrastructure DNS and DHCP settings
-
Provide general system and enterprise troubleshooting as needed

Document and track all work in the customers ITSM system

Create documentation, procedures, and work instructions and provide technical guidance to shift work to lower tiers as required.

Must be able to be onsite at customer location in Tobyhanna PA as required at the direction of the Customer and/or Program Management

Learn new tools and skills to assist in operations and maintenance of the enterprise as it evolves over time.
Basic Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 5 years experience
-
Exposure to TCP/IP and other basic networking, and a desire to learn deeper networking skills.

Skilled to expertise in scripting using languages such as python, PowerShell, or bash .

Positive attitude and high-energy approach to IT support. Desire to learn, work, and grow in a team environment.

Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a proactive attitude toward ensuring all stakeholders are aware of tools activities and changes.

Must have the ability to independently drive tasks to conclusion with minimal supervision and oversight.

Experience in data center management

Experience with Active Directory, GPO creation and deployment, and DNS/DHCP

Windows server administration skills.

Strong system administration skills

Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.

US Citizen who can obtain a DoD secret clearance.

Obtain a baseline 8570 certification [(IAT Level II) CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP].
Preferred Qualifications

Strong system configuration and automation skills.

Experience configuring enterprise tools such as ScienceLogic SL1, Splunk, PRTG, Microsoft System Center, etc.

Experience automating assigned tasks utilizing Python, PowerShell, bash or other scripting languages.

IT Operations-related technical certifications (A+, Net+, Sec+, MTA, MCSA, RHCSA, CCNA, etc.)

Pay Range:Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00
