About the team
The Naval Industry team is responsible and accountable for the on-time production and delivery of the Thales Naval products within in cost and first-time right. To realize this the Naval Industry team is strongly and closely cooperating with the other departments (e.g. Engineering, Procurement, Product Segments) within Thales Naval.
As Thales Naval we foster a strong growth in demand to our products and to secure this growth the Industry organization will be become production line oriented to support the serial production. The production line is responsible for delivering a system which tested, functional operational and meeting the specification.
About your future job
As System Test Engineer you will be part of the production line team and will work on an assigned system. You will work mainly on our premises and incidentally on customer locations to deliver our systems and services to our customers. In your function you will execute in line test, execute system setting to work procedures, support by Factory Acceptance Tests and support by problem solving.
You report findings back to the production line team and support initiatives to improve the product quality as well as the producibility of the product.
The main tasks and responsibilities are:
- Execute in line system test and quality inspections to increase the First Pass Yield
- Independently integrating and testing radar and electro-optical systems.
- Performing tests on site and support by Factory Acceptance Tests
- Evaluating the performance of the system in its operational environment
- Acting as trouble shooter in case of technical and/or performance problems
- Provide support such as system health checks, maintenance and repair.
Why you'd be a good match
- Bachelor/Master of Science in e.g. Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer science, Applied Physics, Mechatronics
- Affinity with radar, affinity with analogue technologies, the Linux terminal or computer networks are an advantage
- Professional language skills in English (verbal and writing), other language skills are an advantage.
- Analytical and problem-solving capacity
- Pro-active, accurate and solution oriented;
- Team player
- Dutch and English mandatory;
- Ability to empathize with other cultures and customs
