About the role

As a System Integration Engineer at Applied, you will be an integral part of the entire product design lifecycle. Your technical contributions will directly impact the requirements, design, integration, and validation/verification of our self-driving vehicles. You will drive the integration of all software and hardware components to achieve the necessary project functionality and deliverables.

At Applied Intuition, you will:

  • Work with cross functional teams to create integration plans, document deliverables, define acceptance and exit criteria for Autonomous Vehicle components, firmware, middleware and software
  • Publish documentation for workflow and component configuration, firmware, middleware and software to the project and application teams
  • Design integration test cases for use on HIL infrastructure and documenting the results
  • Deliver first article vehicles for new versions of each vehicle project
  • Identify and integrate software components and test their functionality towards project requirements

We're looking for someone who has:

  • BS in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
  • Experience in owning the technical responsibility over a system or subsystem
  • Have hands on experience working with hardware and software integration includes sensing, compute and vehicle control on autonomous vehicle
  • Basic understanding of hardware components such as sensors and compute
  • Familiar with CAN, Docker and Ethernet protocols such as UDP, TCP/IP in Linux development environment (familiarity with the terminal)
  • Experience working with Wireshark and software tools for diagnostics
  • Knowledge on hardware troubleshooting and software deployment
  • Willingness to take the lead on a troubleshooting activity
  • Ability to document test procedures
  • Basic coding skills (Python, bash scripts, C, C++)
  • Experience with an issue-tracking and task management software platform such as JIRA, Polarion and Confluence
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and software deployment workflows
  • Basic knowledge of common vehicle electrical and networking systems (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, etc) is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Linux based operating systems
  • Familiarity with embedded operating systems and frameworks

Compensation at Applied Intuition for eligible roles includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Base salary is a single component of the total compensation package, which may also include equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units, comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance coverage, 401k retirement benefits with employer match, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off. Note that benefits are subject to change and may vary based on jurisdiction of employment.

Applied Intuition pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum intended target base salary for new hire salaries for the position. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, interview performance, and the level and scope of the position.

Please reference the job posting’s subtitle for where this position will be located. For pay transparency purposes, the base salary range for this full-time position in the location listed is: $122,000 - $192,000 USD annually.
