Role Summary
Provides technical expertise through customer presentations, product demonstrations, installation, of company products and solutions. Assists the sales staff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs and preparing detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer applications/solutions. May build POCs based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility of the application/solution, often requiring rapid prototyping and/or product demo for client. May provide software development and consultation to customers and/or product capability assessment and validation. Ensures that the product application/solution is functioning according to specifications. May provide follow-up support to Sales, Ops and customer personnel by disseminating technical information on specific applications/solutions
Key Responsibilities
Generate Simulation Models in Matlab for Layer1 for NTN based 3GPP technologies such as NBIoT, LTE-M and NR.
Explore the algorithms for various blocks in the Wireless Physical layer and identify the appropriate algorithms based on Simulation results for the options..
Work with the development team to ensure that the Layer1 algorithm implementation on the Target.
Write Feature Requirement specifications for E2E systems for Physcial layer oriented Features.
Acts as a bridge between SE/PLM and R&D teams in translating the Customer requirements to the implementation.
Front ends any field issue debugging especially when it cuts across various components in a Node.
Understand the Target C code implementation, review and recommend options to optimize or to identify the differences between Simulation models in Matlab and Target code in C.
Produce the reference benchmark for performance of Algorithms in various Channel models
Understand the 3GPP conformance requirement Specifications and is able to translate the same to a workable E2E test setup and Test Plan for use by Test teams.
Takes the ownership of the Performance of defined algorithms until validation in Field.
Job Requirements
Masters degree in Communication Engineering with at least 6 yrs of experience in wireless domain in L1 and in E2E system Engineering domains..
Minimum of 2 yrs of experience on Matlab with Simulation and Modeling activities for Wireless Physical layer algorithms.
Experience with LTE/NR/NBIoT is a plus.
Very good understanding of the Physical layer algorithms and their usage in wireless domain.
Excellent analytical skills is a must.
Shall be a good team player and a go-getter
Very good communication and presentation skills are a must.
