Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated System Engineer to join our team, with a specialized focus on motor development for aerospace applications. As a System Engineer, you will play a key role in the overall understanding, verification, and validation of motor systems for aircraft. Your expertise in aerospace standards, supplier management, and knowledge of electronics and embedded software development will contribute to the successful development of advanced motor systems. 

Your mission during this flight: 

  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to gain a comprehensive understanding of motor systems, including electrical, mechanical, and software components, within the aerospace context. 

  • Define and establish system-level requirements, ensuring compliance with aerospace standards and customer specifications. 

  • Lead the verification and validation activities for motor systems, including developing test plans, conducting testing, and analyzing test data to ensure system performance and safety. 

  • Coordinate with external suppliers to manage the development and integration of motor components, ensuring alignment with program milestones and quality standards. 

  • Conduct detailed technical reviews of supplier documents, such as requirement specifications, design descriptions, and test procedures. 

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and resolve system-level issues and challenges, applying sound engineering principles and practices. 

  • Contribute to the development and improvement of system engineering processes, methodologies, and tools, with a focus on motor systems for aerospace applications. 

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in aerospace standards, regulations, and industry best practices, applying them to enhance motor system development. 

Qualifications

Check in your professional skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred. 

  • At least 5 year of experience in system engineering within the aerospace industry, specifically in motor development.

  • In-depth knowledge of aerospace standards and regulations (e.g., ARP4754A), with a focus on motor systems. 

  • Experience in verification and validation activities for safety-critical systems, preferably within the aerospace domain. 

  • Familiarity with supplier management, including managing external suppliers and ensuring their adherence to program requirements. 

  • Knowledge of electronics and embedded software development for motor systems, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams. 

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex systems and propose innovative solutions. 

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. 

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate and present technical information to diverse stakeholders. 

  • Fluent in English. 

Preferred Skills: 

  • Experience in motor design and analysis, including electrical and mechanical aspects. 

  • Familiarity with model-based systems engineering methodologies and tools. 

  • Knowledge of aerospace hardware development processes and quality standards, including DO-178 and DO-254. 

  • Understanding of safety assessment methodologies such as FMEA and FTA. 

  • Proficiency in using requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS) and configuration management tools. 

  • Experience with system-level integration and testing of motor systems for aircraft.
