WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for engineers with a passion about developing and operating the city-level energy aggregation system used in daily life in Woven City. Our CEMS not only focuses on energy management but also integrates with other services such as mobility and home services, making it the only test course in the world that combines functionalities related to energy to realize new services. We will conduct trials of new ideas for systems and services with CEMS and create well-being for all. With hands-on experiences and deep knowledge about software development, you are expected to develop CEMS with traceability between product requirements, functional specifications and codes. You are also expected to evolve the whole CEMS and provide the system outside of Woven City in the long term. You will report to the development manager as a development team leader.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Requirement Definition (Use Case, Data Modeling, System Architecture), Design (Interface Definition, Class Architecture), development, test (Test Planning, Test Programming), maintenance, release and improvement for CEMS
  • Work with cross-functional teams, various service project owners, third parties, software and hardware engineers to define requirements for CEMS, interfaces and data pipelines
  • Manage the team’s progress (WBS, Kanban) and issues as team leader
  • Reviews documents and codes created by team members to maintain high quality design, code, testing, and documentation
  • Improve software quality and productivity by CI/CD tools (Github Actions, etc.)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in information engineering, data science, computer science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of experience in developing enterprise systems
  • Experience working on projects from beginning to end with multiple teams as team leader. Or, experience working on the development and improvement of the same system for 2+ years.
  • Professional experience in web application development using Python(Django, Flask, FastAPI, etc.) or Java(Spring, etc.) with DB(PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, etc.)
  • Proficiency in business level Japanese and a passion to develop English skill

NICE TO HAVES

  • Master’s degree in information engineering, data science, computer science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Knowledge about front-end and cloud services
  • Experience in the software product development for the energy management system, electric power system
  • Ability to learn new domains as needed
  • Proficiency in business level English
