This role is intended to offer technical guidance and expertise to assist the department in the creation of Power BI dashboards, the development of DAX, data mappings, and the oversight of high-volume, complex data processes.
Minimum Required KSAs:
• Applicants must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience with the following job responsibilities:
• Data Modeling and Analysis: Creating data models and defining relationships in Power BI to facilitate efficient data retrieval and analytics. Developing DAX formulas to calculate and summarize data for visual representation.
• Report and Dashboard Development: Designing interactive and visually compelling reports and dashboards in Power BI that deliver actionable insights to stakeholders.
• DAX Formulas and Calculations: Crafting sophisticated DAX formulas to execute calculations, aggregations, time intelligence, and other data manipulations within Power BI.
• Data Integration: Extracting, transforming, and loading data from diverse sources into Power BI, including databases, spreadsheets, cloud platforms, and APIs.
• Performance Optimization: Enhancing Power BI reports and DAX calculations to improve performance and accelerate query response times.
• Data Visualization: Selecting the most suitable visualizations (e.g., charts, tables, maps, KPIs) to effectively represent data and enable users to derive insights promptly.
• Data Security and Governance: Implementing data security practices within Power BI to ensure that sensitive data is only accessible to authorized users, while complying with data governance policies and regulations.
• Data Quality and Validation: Guaranteeing the accuracy and integrity of data by validating and cleansing information during the integration phase.
• Collaboration and Documentation: Working alongside business stakeholders, data analysts, and team members to gather requirements and provide effective solutions. Maintaining documentation of data models, DAX formulas, and development processes for future reference and knowledge sharing.
• Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Diagnosing and addressing issues related to data connections, DAX calculations, and report performance.
• Possessing the ability to deliver exceptional customer support while maintaining a high standard of work quality.
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience is acceptable.
Certifications: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Certification (Preferred) and MS Dynamics Power Platform Certifications (Preferred)
