Summary:
As a Software Engineer (Data Visualization), you will play a pivotal role in designing and delivering cutting-edge reporting solutions using SSRS and Snowflake. You will collaborate with architects, product managers, and product owners to ensure that our BI solutions align with business needs and drive data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement complex SSRS-based reporting solutions, including proofs of concept and pilots. SQL Server is MUST
- Define and execute BI solutions that address product use cases and business requirements.
- Scope and plan BI projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Develop and maintain semantic models and BI access layers in Snowflake.
- Provide expert guidance on SSRS and Snowflake architecture, security guidelines, and roadmaps.
- Develop high-performance Snowflake models and stored procedures to handle large datasets.
- Publish and manage reports using SQL Reporting Services.
- Implement and support Power BI solutions in an Agile environment.
- Provide global support for Power BI, reporting, and database deployments.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- Conduct internal training sessions for the team and new hires.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience with SSRS, Snowflake and ETL/DB- SQL Server.
- Working experience with Power BI report builder.
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational and NoSQL databases, SQL Server
- Ability to understand and define semantic data model as per requirements; good understanding of Data Warehousing- Dimensional modelling, OLAP.
- Understanding of Agile software methodology and DevOps concepts
- Experience with programming languages like Python/Java/.NET.
- Snowflake certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of Power BI and DAX programming is a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure data stack is preferred.
