Job Description

In the role of SVP/VP Strategic Development, you will take the lead in expanding our footprint with large- and mid-cap pharmaceutical companies. As a confident, dynamic, and passionate leader, you bring a proven network of relationships and strong expertise in healthcare marketing. Your primary focus is on establishing and nurturing dialogue with key executive decision-makers in health and life science organisations, including heads of marketing, medical affairs, commercial excellence, and procurement.

In this role, you will need to create and navigate complex client relationships, collaborate effectively with internal business development and SME teams, and drive significant business growth. Your ability to secure new business opportunities and foster strategic partnerships will be instrumental in scaling the organisation to its next phase of success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Generate, lead, and convert large-scale launch opportunities, including AOR or DAOR reviews.
  • Drive excellence in RFIs, RFPs, and pitch presentations, ensuring alignment with client needs and expectations.
  • Ensure business development goals are met, with a focus on new client engagement.
  • Build and maintain access to senior executives within target pharmaceutical organisations.
  • Activate frequent meetings with senior decision makers to discuss strategic opportunities and partnerships.
  • Position the organisation as a Network Preferred Partner with key pharmaceutical companies.
  • Collaborate directly with strategic development team members across EVERSANA INTOUCH affiliates

EXPECTATIONS OF THE JOB:

  • Frequent travel (domestic and international as per business needs, mostly localised to EU4+UK)
  • A valid passport and the ability to travel to all EU countries, the UK, the Nordics, and Switzerland is a requirement

Qualifications

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.

  • Strong interpersonal skills (high EQ) to build trust and drive meaningful relationships.
  • Demonstrated success in building new business opportunities and scaling strategic partnerships.
  • Ability to identify and capitalise on growth opportunities with large pharmaceutical companies.
  • High-level proficiency in PowerPoint, with an eye for design and detail
  • Exceptional organisational skills with a focus on maintaining quality and adhering to budgets.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (or similar qualification)
  • 15+ years of experience in the healthcare marketing industry as senior business developer, key account manager, or managing director
  • Previous experience in role within strategic account leadership, strategic planning leadership, or business development
  • Robust portfolio of clients
  • Expertise in developing strategies for long-term client success and fostering executive relationships.
