About This Job

Axos is seeking a strategic, results-driven, and experienced leader to serve as the SVP, Managing Director in Commercial Banking. In this key executive role, you will oversee all aspects of commercial lending and deposits for the middle market sector driving the growth and profitability of the Commercial Banking portfolio. You will be responsible for delivering comprehensive financial solutions to mid-sized and large corporate clients, fostering strong client relationships, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional service.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead group adherence to management framework and compliance with all audit/review needs, including: OCC, BDO, Internal Audit, ICR, and SOX review
  • Drive group strategy and internal communication with senior management
  • Perform transaction sourcing and execution, and portfolio and client management to meet the strategic initiatives of the division
  • Pre-Screen transactions as needed in conjunction with credit review and pre-investment evaluation with credit administration
  • Participation in sales calls, evaluation of lead quality, pricing and structuring oversight, and contract negotiations to maximize overall yield

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years experience in commercial banking or related financial services
  • Strong understanding of credit as well as business development
  • Exceptional leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
