As the Head of Trade, you will be responsible for all trade relations at GoodRx. This includes managing pharma-direct relationships with trade and access executives as well as deep relationships with aggregators and GPOs, and all contracting therein. Key measures of success include driving lower consumer prices for brand medications, profitably growing claims-based revenue from brand drugs, and executing novel programs with ecosystem partners (pharma, PBM, pharmacy, plan sponsors) for new go-to-market models to lower brand drug costs. This individual will partner closely with the Head of Network to leverage trade economics to support GoodRx’s network durability and value proposition to pharmacies. Furthermore, this individual will partner with the Manufacturer Solutions team in sales discussions and enable discussions between GoodRx partners such as pharmacies, PBMs, and plan sponsors and relevant pharma accounts. This individual will also be responsible for driving the long-term strategy and vision for how GoodRx leverages brand-drug economics in a way that aligns all stakeholders in the pharmacy ecosystem and can be easily communicated to and understood by investors.

Profitably grow all brand drug claims-related revenue at GoodRx

Lower the price of brand medications for GoodRx consumers

Manage all contracting with aggregators and GPOs

Support the economic modeling of GoodRx offerings to pharma brands to overcome pharma economic and regulatory objections to speed the sales process, improve close rate and support contracting with pharmaceutical manufacturers for direct cash point of sale buydowns and other relevant GoodRx offerings

Share brand economics with the pharmacy network to drive long-term durability and strategic alignment

Drive business development efforts to grow the distribution of GoodRx brand-drug economics throughout the pharmacy ecosystem

Drive the long-term strategy and vision for how GoodRx leverages brand-drug economics in a way that aligns all stakeholders in the pharmacy ecosystem

Keep up to date with and influence government activities regarding rebates and related regulation. Ensure that our strategy is aligned with the evolving regulatory landscape
Key Qualifications:

10+ years of GPO, PBM, and/or pharma executive-level experience with a broad network of relationships across the pharmacy and pharmacy benefit ecosystem

Deep understanding of pharmacy, pharma, and PBM pricing, economics, and contracting

Long-term relationships and demonstrated success with pharma Trade/Access Executives at the EVP and SVP level
-
Strong understanding of pharmacy benefit design for plan sponsors, government programs, and industry trends that create room for innovation to improve the experience

This individual should have demonstrated success building relationships and executing contracts with pharmacy ecosystem partners that have produced results that have benefitted both parties

This individual should demonstrate a deep understanding of the financial and economic levers within the key pharmacy ecosystem partners’ P&L

10+ years of large P&L management experience
