The Sustainability Strategy Consultant (m/f/d/x) will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing strategic sustainability initiatives for GEA’s customers. This position will work in the GEA Add Better Consulting team, which includes both the Operations Consulting team and the Strategy Consulting team, to generate a robust pipeline of Net Zero and sustainability solutions project business for GEA.
The consultant will be responsible for advising clients on best practices, driving the growth of our sustainability strategy consulting business, and ensuring the successful execution of sustainability projects.
Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership and Business Development

Develop and execute the overall strategy for the sustainability consulting business

Identify new business opportunities to grow the sustainability strategy consulting business

Develop proposals and lead business development efforts to secure new client engagements

Client Engagement and Project Management
-
Lead the creation and implementation of sustainability strategies

Manage and govern the sustainability strategy consulting projects, ensuring they meet client expectations and deliver measurable results

Work closely with internal stakeholders to deliver integrated sustainability solutions

Generate a healthy pipeline of Net Zero and sustainability solutions project business for GEA
Your Profile / Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.

Proven experience of 3 to 5 years in sustainability consulting, strategy consulting or project management.

Strong understanding of sustainability practices, including energy efficiency, carbon reduction, and sustainable resource management.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans and drive business growth.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Willingness to travel regularly

Fluent English language skill, German language is a plus
