Supply Chain Relationship Manager

Salary Up to £45,000 per annum depending on experience.
Pyramid Plus South, a joint venture partnership between A2Dominion and Mears Property Services, provides repairs and maintenance, compliance, planned replacements and fire risk assessment works. We successfully complete over 35,000 repairs, 1,000 voids and fit 600 kitchens and bathrooms annually to 23,500 homes. About the Role:
The Supply Chain Relationship Manager will oversee and develop subcontractor relationships within the Pyramid. This role ensures compliance with internal processes, negotiates competitive rates, and drives value for money while maintaining high standards of service delivery, quality, and compliance.
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with subcontractors to support the delivery of repairs and maintenance services.
- Assess and select subcontractors based on value, quality, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Monitor supplier performance against agreed KPIs to ensure compliance and quality standards.
- Further develop and embed monthly governance meetings with Subcontractor Supply chain to make sure we are consistent with approach and fully compliant ensuring meeting are attended and completed
- Expand Supply Chain network searching and engaging with new contractors working closely with central procurement team targeting local subcontractor engagement
- Negotiate rates and terms with subcontractors to secure cost-effective services without compromising quality.
- Implement and monitor processes to drive cost savings and increase value across all subcontracted work.
- Ensure subcontractors meet all internal policies, regulatory standards, and health and safety requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to manage and mitigate potential risks.
- Implement quality assurance processes to maintain high standards of work across all subcontracted services.
- Work closely with the in-house team to monitor service delivery and address any performance issues.
- Utilise Subcontractor Database and pro-actively account for performance concerns and gap analysis working closely with Operational delivery team
- Provide regular reports on subcontractor performance, cost savings, and compliance to the senior management team.
- Act as the primary point of contact for subcontractors and manage day-to-day communication and problem resolution.
Role Criteria:
- Proven experience in supply chain management, ideally within social housing or a similar sector.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of achieving value for money in contracting and procurement.
- Knowledge of UK compliance, health and safety regulations, and subcontractor management best practices.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to drive decision-making.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to managing risks and resolving issues.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple contractors and projects simultaneously.
