The Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) Quality Team at Leidos is currently has an opening for a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE), based out of our Ladson, SC facility. In this role you will be expected to manage the quality of materials and services from external suppliers, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards, and collaborating with suppliers to improve quality and reduce defects. The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) position requires working onsite at our Ladson, SC Facility (M-F day shift) Travel is required, up to 50% of the time. The SQE will cover multiple site locations and and travel for supplier audits when supplier nonconformances arise.
Primary Responsibilities
Supplier Quality Management:
- Develop and implement supplier quality programs and processes.
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality capabilities.
- Collaborate with Supplier Relationship team to ensure strong alliances and maintain communication.
- Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Quality Assurance and Control:
- Review and approve supplier quality plans, specifications, and procedures.
- Monitor supplier performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Investigate and resolve quality issues and non-conformances.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) activities.
Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance supplier quality and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain supplier quality metrics and reporting systems.
- Provide technical guidance and support to suppliers on quality issues.
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain documentation and records related to supplier quality.
Other Duties:
- May involve travel to supplier facilities for audits and assessments.
- May support new product development and supplier qualification activities.
- Provide technical guidance to Quality Analyst in support of Supplier Corrective Actions and Non-Conforming Material Reports data analysis and continual improvement efforts.
- May mentor and train other quality personnel.
Basic Qualifications
- BS Degree & 4+ years’ experience or Master’s Degree with 2+ years’ experience. May consider additional work experience in lieu of a degree.
- Must have the ability to obtain a Public Trust Suitability Determination (US Citizenship Required)
- In-depth knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Familiarity with quality tools and techniques (e.g., SPC, FMEA, PPAP).
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with multiple standards and methods as specified on contracts and drawings, i.e., J-STD-001, IPC 610 and IPC 620 standards and drive that to usage at suppliers and Receiving Inspection.
- Experience working with and knowledge of assembly, integration, and testing processes & procedures.
- Experience working with and knowledge of one or more special processes i.e., paint, welding, chem film / anodize, heat treat, counterfeit material and be able to audit suppliers to the requirements of these processes

Pay Range:Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00
