The Due Diligence Analyst is a crucial role at Vanderlande! This position is focussing on conducting thorough risk assessments and due diligence investigations. By evaluating various risks—Strategic, Operational, Location, Sustainability (ESG)/Compliance, and Financial—the role ensures informed decision-making and adherence to industry standards.
You will be working in a truly global environment, based in Pune, India, serving Vanderlande’s global Supplier Sustainability & Risk team within the BU Supply.

SCM plays a crucial role in securing our global supply chain, addressing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) aspects, and meeting the ever-increasing compliance requirements in the market, as well as Vanderlande’s expectations for our external supply base. Our team is dedicated to Supplier Sustainability & Risk assurance, performance, and value. We continuously enhance our validated “prevent-detect-respond” approach. We collaborate closely with a broad network of internal and external partners.
Core Responsibilities
The Supplier Sustainability & Risk Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring our company’s supply chain is ethical, sustainable, resilient and efficient, while minimizing risk. Supporting our program managers to smoothly run the processes within the departments in the most effective way and run their implementations with the right data.
Risk Assessment: Conducting comprehensive risk assessments to evaluate supplier capabilities, geopolitical risks, market volatility, and potential disruptions in the supply chain. Due Diligence: support in due diligence activities to conform facts or details of the data we received form our Suppliers to conform to the corporate sustainability due diligence directive (CSDDD) act. Data Analysis: Leveraging data analytics tools to collect, analyse, and interpret data related to supply chain operations. This helps in identifying trends, patterns, and potential areas of vulnerability. Collaboration and Communication: Working closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, logistics, and operations, to ensure a holistic approach to supply chain risk management. Effective communication and stakeholder engagement are essential to drive risk mitigation initiatives. Sustainability Initiatives: Assessing and interpreting data related to environmental impact, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives. Reporting and Documentation: Preparing high-quality reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, detailing findings from data analysis and risk assessments.
These responsibilities ensure that the supply chain remains robust and aligned with sustainability goals, helping companies navigate the complexities of global supply chains while promoting responsible business practices.

Do you have what it takes?
Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field. Industry Experience: Practical experience of minimum 8 years plus in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field with roles such as quality manager, supply chain coordinator, logistics analyst, or procurement specialist. Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis and the use of analytical tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, JD Edwards, or other ERP systems) to interpret data and make informed decisions. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings to stakeholders. Knowledge of Supply Chain Processes: Understanding of key supply chain processes such as procurement, logistics, Sustainability and Risk. Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with supply chain software and technologies, including ERP systems, Risk Management Software, PowerBi tools etc. Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in data analysis and reporting. Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and work in a fast-paced environment. Collaborative attitude, comfortable working in a dynamic environment. Language Proficiency: Business fluency in English. Customer Focus: Dedicated commitment to customer-focused behaviours, with a high degree of flexibility and collaboration. Curiosity and Entrepreneurship: Intellectual curiosity and an entrepreneurial mindset, with a desire to continuously learn and apply expertise to build new capabilities across the organization. Communication: Ability to articulate complex information clearly and simply to a variety of audiences.
