Responsibilities & Qualifications
Essential Job Functions
Provide leadership and supervision to direct reports, including:
- Monitoring work for accuracy, productivity, service, and compliance.
- Providing guidance to direct reports regarding the proper use and application of regulatory rules and classifications pertaining to Premium Audit, as needed,
- Analyzing and submitting alternative tools and resources to improve the efficiency of staff and involving staff in the analysis of workflow processes and resolutions;
- Serving as a committee member for various critical business processes or initiatives, including dispute resolution process and quality reviews, as needed
- Meeting with other departments to understand "other state" process requirements and implement practices to accommodate "other states" requirements within the department
- Reviewing and resolving escalated customer service concerns related to Premium Audit
Provide operational support to department, including:
- Identifying process and customer service improvement opportunities and recommending solutions,
- Developing and implementing work schedules, policies, procedures, and workflows,
- Monitoring computer systems, timely reporting issues, and following up until resolved,
- Providing timely, accurate, and through reports to management,
- Serving as subject matter expert for process automation and various project/initiatives,
Responsible for personnel management of the assigned operations, including:
- Recruiting, retaining, coaching and mentoring of employees.
- Ensuring that appropriate policies, procedures, staffing and training are in place to provide for the effective operation of the assigned operations.
- Setting and communicating performance and behavioral expectations, training and development plans, providing regular feedback on employee performance and taking actions as necessary to improve performance and behavior.
- Evaluate and make recommendations on organizational structure and processes.
Responsible for management of assigned department, including:
- Contributing to the development and implementation of division goals and objectives, policies, standards, procedures, and budgets.
- Advising management on operational and/or financial issues as requested.
- Developing and implementing actions and plans within the department which support customer service.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or any equivalent combination of education, experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- At least five years of closely related experience or any equivalent combination of education, experience and training which provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Knowledge of insurance principles, accepted underwriting practices and premium audit procedures, and Division of Workers' Compensation & Texas Department of Insurance rules and processes.

The base pay range is based on the market evaluation of the job and may include pay for multiple levels. Individual base pay within the range is determined by a variety of factors, including experience, performance, education, and demonstration of skills and competencies required for each role. Your recruiter can discuss the full value of our total compensation package with you, including our generous bonus plans and flex-hybrid work model.
Base Pay Range: $90,896.45 - $112,283.85 Per Year

Texas Mutual’s flex-hybrid schedule allows you to bring your best self to work by working remotely and collaborating in the office based on business needs. All Texas Mutual employees are required to have Texas residency and travel to their designated office as needed.
