Job Duties and Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Broadcast Site Reliability Engineering (BSRE) Supervisor to lead our team in ensuring the reliability, performance, and availability of our critical broadcast systems.
The BSRE Supervisor leads a team of engineers responsible for identifying and resolving issues with television content delivered to Dish Network and Sling customers. They work on customer affecting issues until they are resolved, ensuring the best possible customer experience.
The BSRE team works in a television retransmission environment, monitoring and maintaining the quality of all services redistributed to DISH and Sling customers.
Supervisors are expected to develop a high-functioning team, hold accountability with team members, deliver regular performance feedback, and resolve conflicts.
The BSRE team is dedicated to providing an exceptional customer experience, and their efforts have been recognized with DISH earning the J.D. Power award for being #1 in Overall Customer Satisfaction for several consecutive years.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Team Development: Lead and mentor a team of Site Reliability Engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration
- Operational Oversight: Oversee incident response, maintain on-air signal integrity, and ensure seamless operation of critical systems
- Technical Expertise: Possess deep knowledge of broadcast systems, Operational Support Systems (OSS), and industry best practices
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Associates degree or two years of experience/training in related fields recommended, or
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in computer science or related discipline
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Demonstrated Experience: Proven work experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or in a similar role
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of broadcast systems, Operational Support Systems (OSS), and relevant technologies
- Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and inspire a team, and effectively manage performance

Shift Requirements:
- This will likely be a full-time (5x8), overnight shift position. This position will require 24x7 on-call responsibilities

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $54,400.00/Year - $78,100.00/Year
