Learn on the job with the following opportunities:
- Assist in the design, development, testing and maintenance of actuarial computer systems for all major actuarial recurring projects and assignments including liability valuation and rate setting projects.
- Apply and test actuarial techniques to determine insurance liabilities, industry premium rates and financial forecasts.
- Support the preparation of data, assumptions, and methods for actuarial experience studies.
- Participate in various projects as required.
Your experience and skills:
- Currently enrolled in post-secondary education in Actuarial, Mathematical, Statistical, Data Science or Computing Science.
- Completion of exams towards attainment of Associate of the Society of Actuaries (A.S.A.) or Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (A.C.A.S.) designation would be an asset.
- Analytical skills and attention to detail along with the ability to deal effectively with people.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Computer programming knowledge in SQL and other programming skills (Visual Basic.Net) are a plus.

Salary: $20 per hour, 36.25 hours per week
Candidates must be comfortable and able to work both remotely from their primary residence and, in the office, from our Edmonton downtown office, as required. Final candidates for this position will be asked to undergo a security clearance and credit check.
