As a Systems Analyst Intern, you will be focused on two key objectives. The first is to undergo a learning experience that provides increased knowledge about the insurance industry and develop professional experience related to the interns’ area of study while at Premera. The second key objective is to support the business and add value through a variety of specified tasks, defined projects, and planned out assignments that support business unit goals and initiatives. You will be responsible for completing assignments and learning objectives as outlined and supervised by the manager.

Premera’s Summer Internship Program is June 16th - August 15th, 2025. 

To be eligible for the program, you must currently be enrolled in either an undergraduate or graduate degree program, or have recently obtained your degree (within the last 12 months). 

This is a hybrid internship program on our campus in Mountlake Terrace, WA.

What you’ll do:

  • With guidance from the manager and mentor, complete assignments in support of specific projects or business initiatives.

  • Provide manager with regular status updates on progress against goals.

  • Participate in departmental meetings as appropriate.

  • Attend planned learning and networking events sponsored by the corporate internship program.

  • Complete a final presentation that highlights accomplishments.

What you’ll bring: 

  • Enrolled in a two or four-year undergraduate program; a graduate program; or are a recent graduate (less than 12 months) of either an undergraduate or graduate program. (Required)

  • If undergraduate, have completed 50% of credits necessary to earn degree or certificate. (Required)

  • Demonstrated ability to execute complex assignments, with supervision.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work professionally/effectively in a team environment.

  • Experience with data visualization tools and techniques.

  • Familiarity with software such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to interpret and present data insights effectively.

  • Experience with SQL for data querying and manipulation.

The pay for this role will vary based on a range of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographic location, market conditions, and specific skills and experience.

The salary range for this role is posted below; we generally target up to and around the midpoint of the range.

National Plus Salary Range:

$43,200.00 - $90,000.00

*National Plus salary range is used in higher cost of labor markets including Western Washington and Alaska.
