About the Role
As a software engineer you responsible for hardware and software bring-up, feature enablement, and software configurations of Intelligent cockpit system. You will also be responsible for integrating and maintaining different software functional modules from the shared platform codebase and driving the software migration to the new kernel versions and Android pastries.
What You Will Do

Digital cockpit software bring-up and feature enablement.
-
Board bring-up(QC6/QC8, EA9/EA7.etc) and peripheral validation.

Device driver development and device tree adaptation.

Android framework extensions to support automotive feature development.

System boot and runtime performance optimization.
What You Need
-
Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program at an accredited institution having completed your Sophomore year or later, taking at least one class in the semester/quarter before participation in the internship program, and returning to school for at least one semester upon completion of the internship program

Must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA

Must have taken courses in, or closely related to Computer Science and Electronics

Must have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to confidently interact and present information to senior leaders and executives

Must work collaboratively with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
What is Nice to Have

Strong Operating Systems Knowledge(Linux/Android)

Strong C, C++ programming skills
-
Prior experience in device driver and device tree development

Knowledge of system-level debugging.

Interest in the automotive industry
What Makes You Eligible
-
Be willing to work in an office/hybrid schedule in Novi, Michigan.

Able to provide your own housing and transportation to/from work.

Must possess unrestricted work authorization.

Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment

Must provide full work availability from May 19, 2025 through August 8, 2025 and be able to work 40 hours per week

Dependent on the internship offered, pay is based on factors, including without limitation, the applicant's level of education and business need.
