Job Description
We are currently recruiting for an Associate to join our Global Corporate Banking Subsidiary Banking team in Toronto. You will be a developing relationship manager capable of independent activity. Performance will be measured by your effectiveness in many marketing areas, including but not limited to: calling activity, proposal generation, revenue generation, risk mitigation, ability to build successful relationships, and propensity to help build the franchise for the long term. You will also seek opportunities to cross sell into every relationship and anticipate the future needs of the client. You should have a good understanding of Canadian cash management products. Credit process management would be an asset.
Job Responsibilities:
- Act as a Canada subject matter expert, supporting the growth of profitable relationships.
- Engage and coordinate with partners across the firm to develop proficiency across all products within Banking, Payments, Markets, Asset Management, Credit, DCM, FX, Rates, Commodities, and Investor Services.
- Prepare customized pitch books and marketing materials to generate new business and review existing relationships.
- Partner with Bankers and Payments Sales Managers on new bids, leading with pricing and profitability models, and assist with the finalization of sales through documentation negotiation and smooth handoff to implementation and service teams.
- Maintain internal reports and monitor revenue trend reporting to identify crucial portfolio trends.
- Conduct pricing analyses and support the development of pricing strategy/recommendations.
- Partner with Relationship Management Professionals on client onboarding and KYC processes to ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
- Lead ad-hoc projects and analyses as requested.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with outstanding academic credentials.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in Corporate Banking, Credit, or Payments.
- 2+ years of relationship management experience focused on Canadian cash management solutions, if possible.
- Extensive knowledge of Canadian corporate banking cash management products and services.
- Strong sales management skills and business development skills.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to build and mobilize internal networks and resources.
- Familiarity with J.P. Morgan processes and products is a plus.
