Must Have
Experience of covering international, domestic, and league cricket - with a strong ability to comprehend stories into easier-to-understand news and feature copies
Proficiency in editing and proofreading content for accuracy, clarity, and consistency, adhering to the in-house style guide
Ability to interpret cricket statistics and use them to enhance both short-form and long-form content
Ability to work on late night/early morning shifts and on weekends to cover cricket matches and discharge newsdesk responsibilities with maximum efficiency
Good-to-Have
A strong news sense and ability to identify newsworthy stories and breaking news across multiple events at the same time
Good contact base with cricketers, administrators and organisations to drive interviews and exclusive content for the platform
A clear understanding of SEO best practices to optimize content for search engines
Flexibility to work on various assignments and adjust to changing priorities

Handling newsdesk responsibilities efficiently
