We are seeking to appoint one student for a 12-month placement at our head office in Langar, Nottingham.

Throughout your journey, our supervisors and colleagues will be there to provide the support and guidance you need.
The program is offered annually and typically includes several openings across the branch. Successful candidates will join our team for approximately 12 months, gaining invaluable real-world experience in a global company.
As a Student Placement in Sales & Marketing, you will acquire hands-on experience in all areas of John Deere, We believe that variety is essential for growth, which is why you will be exposed to Sales & Marketing, Dealer Development, Key Account Management, Aftermarket, Finance and training. This opportunity is perfect for motivated students eager to develop their skills across the agricultural industry.
To join us in July 2025, we are seeking one placement student with the following responsibilities:
- Working with Divisional Sales Managers and Branch Tactical Marketing Manager on a variety of projects
- Assist in evaluating dealer performance and providing improvement insights.
- Support training program development for dealers.
- Collaborate to analyse market trends and dealer needs.
- Participate in dealer visits to strengthen relationships.
- Represent John Deere at shows across the UK, Ireland, and Scotland.
- Assist with events at the branch and in dealerships.
- Support customer and dealer training.
- Prepare machinery for demonstrations and events.
- Organise marketing materials and maintain the showroom display.
This is not an exhaustive list of duties, but an example of some of the tasks that a student on our placements may enjoy being part of.

- Shadow Territory Managers to understand customer interactions.
- Engage with the Employee Engagement Team to enhance workplace culture.
- Gain insights into marketing campaigns and lead presentations.
- Gain practical experience in dealer development, sales, and marketing.
- Gain professional skill development and networking within the agricultural sector.
- Gain insight into dealership operations and the agricultural equipment industry.
What we expect from You:
- To be currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (e.g., Business, Marketing, Agriculture).
- Positive approach, can do attitude, willingness to get stuck in and give things a try, comfortable with working on your own initiative although rest assured there'll be plenty of support to help you succeed.
