Student Engineer - DevOps

Working as a student engineer at APTIV is much more than a part time job. Here, you will have the opportunity to tailor your role in the organization according to your interest areas and expertise. You will be working in a small but high impact team that takes care of the DevOps activities for the development of Radar Perception software products development.

At APTIV’s Gothenburg site we value autonomy, responsibility and our community. You will be trusted to work in interesting projects ranging from internal R&D of new DevOps features but also in the day-to-day maintenance and troubleshooting of our DevOps pipelines.

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Development of new pipelines and maintenance of existing pipelines
• Development of dashboards and monitoring applications
• Partly working with infrastructure such as Kubernetes, Docker, build machines, servers etc.
• Evolution of CI/CD environment to rely more on container solutions
• Python programming in various applications

Aptiv Gothenburg Student Engineer initiative

At Aptiv Gothenburg we employ a number of Student Engineers every year. The long term plan is that:

• You are hired as a part time employee during the semesters where you are expected to work 1-2 days/week.
• During the summer we offer full time contracts, but you are of course allowed to have vacation.
• We aim to prolong your contracts as long as you want to and we feel that it’s working out
• You do your master’s thesis or equivalent with us
• You get hired in a permanent position

Your Background

• Current engineering student located in Gothenburg with a background in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar and more than 2 years of studies left until graduation
• Experience and a strong interest in some of the following key areas is merited: Python & CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Grafana, Prometheus, AWS, Terraform, Ansible, Gitlab CI, Gerrit, JFrog. (We don’t expect you to have experience in all of these tools, your interest is the most important part!)
