The Role
The team in Zurich develops and hosts financial messaging software for inter-bank payments. The software is mainly written in .NET but includes a lot of XML definitions (XSD) and XML processing (XSLT). The small team is working on a wide area of different tasks. Depending on the skills the new team member can take over tasks and responsibilities that fit best to him. The tasks include the following areas:
- .NET development for Web-Client, Webserver and Windows-Services
- Maintaining XML definitions and validation of financial messages
- Testing and documenting software enhancements
- Build knowledge about SWIFT and SIC services (by joining webinars)
- Working with SQL-Databases (MS-SQL-Server/Oracle)
- 2-nd level support for our customers
- The opportunity to become a team leader
What will make you successful:
- Strong knowledge about XML, XSD, XSLT
- Strong knowledge of software languages (preferable .NET)
- Quality-oriented programming
- Ability to read, write and understand technical documentation
- Motivation to learn something new
- Motivation to take responsibility and act as an owner
- Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team-oriented environment
- Work under time constraints
- Strong analytical skills
- Good communication skills
- To be methodical and well organised
- A high orientation towards client service and quality
- Knowledge of banking environment would be an advantage (but will be part of a training)
