DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Drive execution of the firm's highest priorities and strategic initiatives by managing project teams and providing leverage to business heads as they make decisions critical to future growth and business optimization. Structure and build quantitative, qualitative, and conceptual analyses to drive recommendations. Apply business judgment to identify implications of analyses and data in order to develop actionable recommendations and to identify practical high impact options for the firm to implement. Perform rigorous analysis of operational and financial data as needed. Conduct competitor and industry research through both public and non-public sources to formulate a thorough understanding of market trends and developments. Identify implications and key insights of data and analysis with the team to inform recommendations. Conduct internal and external interviews with subject matter experts and business leaders. Contribute to executive communication materials for senior management and present findings. Develop materials for consumption by the Board, as well as the Operating Committee and their direct reports. Collaborate with team members across lines of business and corporate functions. Present project analyses and recommendations to senior executives. Act as a subject matter expert on financial modeling including preparing operating models to test different business cases, return on investment analysis, and training other members of the team on financial modeling and data analytical skills.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Business, Accounting, Economics, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as a Strategy Senior Associate, Investment Banking, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Economics, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Strategy Senior Associate, Investment Banking, or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: performing business, operations, and strategic analysis of company processes, operating models, and growth strategies within financial services and other industries including power, infrastructure, energy and real estate; determining business and product value proposition relative to competitor firms and client needs across different client segments and populations; defining, structuring, and developing solutions for complex business issues including financing for strategic investments and M&A; leading advisory and financial modeling discussions with senior client leaders including c-suite level executives and individuals that oversee business development and M&A activities; facilitating cross functional discussions on topics including due diligence, operating model analysis, M&A considerations, debt sizing, and valuation analysis with internal senior leadership stakeholders including individuals that oversee M&A, investment banking, and credit activities; global investment banking and financial markets capabilities and products including financial advisory, M&A Advisory, Leveraged Buy-outs, Project Finance, Capital Markets, Privatizations, Financial Forecasting Analysis, Dividends Analysis, and Capital Structure Analysis; financial modeling and analysis, including Return on Investment analysis, Discounted Cash Flow analysis, comparable companies analysis, and precedent transactions analysis incorporating benchmark data sources; preparing operating models to test different business cases; and Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, data tables, Solver, Goal Seek, and VBA.
Job Location: 383 Madison Avenue, New York, NY 10179. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
Full-Time. Salary: $180,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year.
