Role Summary
To support the Head of M&A and Strategy across all projects.
Overall Responsibilities:
- Run internal M&A process end-to-end including modelling economics, legals, integration and post-acquisition synergy KPI formation.
- Ability to use a structured thought process to solving and articulating complex problems to senior management including CFO and CEO.
- Act as a trusted advisor with ability to independently work with and lead various control & support teams to produce robust data or information used to support decisions at board and other committees.
- Conduct market research and/or desk research to derive insights and inform client decision making
- Source potential opportunities in line with Marex’s strategic ambitions
- Work to improve internal M&A or organic corporate development processes.
- Ability to synthesize large amounts of complicated structured and unstructured data into a digestible format
- Generate revenue ideas for various Marex franchises that are aligned with group strategy.
- Work autonomously, managing several projects at once with the ability to effectively close tasks and deliver measurable results.
- Ensuring compliance with the company’s regulatory requirements under the FCA or any other appropriate regulatory body
- Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role ensuring that all regulatory or company determined parameters are complied with.

Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with significant demonstratable work experience, ideally 8-10 years plus*
- Relevant Investment Banking or Strategy (corporate finance/M&A/consulting) experience or equivalent required
- Knowledge of basic accounting and financial concepts; ability to analyse and value businesses
- Strong understanding of professional ethics and regulatory environment
- Demonstrate best in class professional integrity
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential
- Strong work ethic and demonstrated commitment to excellence
- Proactive; self-motivated and goal oriented
- Strong organizational and people management skills
