Job Description:The Strategy & Business Development Analyst II provides consultative and analytical services to internal stakeholders and is an integral member of Essentia Health’s Strategy Office, supporting enterprise strategy, analytics, and research. Works collaboratively in a team-based environment, supporting strategic engagements, driving business unit and market analysis, and developing capital and other growth business plans for executive and board review.

Key Responsibilities:
- Serves as an experienced advisor to multidisciplinary teams to formulate strategies and tactics in line with the strategic plan
- Collects and synthesizes quantitative and qualitative data from a variety of sources
- Contributes to the market intelligence agenda by developing, maintaining, and updating utilization, capacity, and competitive databases to improve decision-making
- Creates and/or recommends improvements to routine or specialized reporting, interpreting findings, and tracking performance
- Maintains databases and software applications to ensure data accuracy, analytic integrity, and reporting validity
- In collaboration with the team, works with and advises leaders presenting information on various business questions, market analysis and other market analytics
- Guides the development and monitoring of market share, business plans, operational improvements, and financial analysis spanning the current Essentia markets and the future growth plans supporting Essentia's strategic initiatives
- Works collaboratively with the team in developing and analyzing organizational growth strategies to provide a thorough analysis of the organization's business goals
- Participates in or leads strategic planning projects
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, health care management, statistics, data science, management, computer science
Required Qualifications:
- 2 years’ experience in data analysis and/or healthcare consulting
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with strategic intelligence, data analysis, business intelligence tools, databases and other applications is preferred. Examples include, but are not limited to: Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Tableau and Mapinfo
