Location: Atlanta, GA (Midtown)

Position Summary & Key Areas of Responsibility

This position is responsible for driving new business development and sales growth by targeting non-NCR Atleos accounts. The Strategic Sales Representative will focus on identifying new opportunities, building relationships, and bringing net new logos to the organization. This role will work closely with the Regional Account Executive Managers to assist in campaign creation and opportunity generation.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Conduct research into new account acquisition strategies, build a business plan to understand targets, create communication plans, and generate prospect interest.
  • Perform outbound sales activities such as introductory calls, prospect visits, tradeshows, and lead validation discussions.
  • Create and execute marketing campaigns designed to further penetrate existing accounts.
  • Build relationships internally and externally to support key business growth strategies.
  • Effectively communicate with prospects to positively influence deal progression.
  • Track all sales activities using Salesforce.com.
  • Report on all activity weekly to management.
  • Create new opportunities through inside sales efforts.
  • Support Account Executives through contract execution and negotiation.
  • Identify and target competitive opportunities to drive new business.
  • Drive the sales process and move opportunities through the funnel from prospect to customer.
  • Participate in account planning and opportunity planning sessions in collaboration with Product and Commercial Teams.
  • Develop strategic customer relationships across the FI or CU enterprise, ensuring that all customer requirements are identified and met when driving new business opportunities within accounts.
  • Generate a pipeline with qualified opportunities and execute winning sales strategies to deliver net new business from those opportunities.
  • Obtain and share customer or industry information that assists in responding to customer's needs. Capitalize on industry knowledge and customer contacts to uncover future business opportunities. Understand the formal and informal decision-making process within each of the accounts.
  • Exhibit consultative selling techniques to customers.
  • Create an internal network of relationships with peers, management, and internal sales support groups to provide value-added solutions for the customer.
  • Track the sales process through monthly forecast submissions to quantify and qualify opportunities where NCR Atleos is best positioned to win.
  • Assist in the development of an account plan to ensure mutual objectives of the NCR Atleos/Customer relationship are realized. Build customer commitment to accelerate activity through the sales cycle.
  • Describe how NCR Atleos solutions relate to the customer's current industry position.
  • Identify major competitors in the account and assess the competitor's products/services, comparing their strengths and weaknesses relative to NCR Atleos. Position NCR Atleos as a single source provider offering additional solutions and services to maximize NCR Atleos revenue and profitable growth.
  • Apply presentation and consultative selling skills to deliver sales presentations at senior/executive levels. Incorporate a thorough understanding of industry trends and issues into sales presentations.
  • Utilize team members, including post-sale delivery professionals, pre-sale technical professionals, Sales Transformation Office, and management, to achieve business objectives.
  • Rely on excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to initiate and maintain executive-level interaction and customer satisfaction.
  • Bring new logos to NCR Atleos that lead to profitable NCR Atleos Solution deals.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5- 8 years of related sales experience; financial industry experience a plus
  • Proven success in solution sales environment, preferably software and/or services focused
  • Ability to articulate the value of a complex solution sale in technical terms to support our customer experience platforms
  • Experience building and promoting teams
  • Demonstrated ability to understand sales barriers and overcome initial technology hurdles to close business
  • Customer-oriented approach
  • Strong teaming skills and demonstrated proactive leadership
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated sales success in attaining quota objectives with demonstrated success developing new account opportunities
  • Proficient in Salesforce.com and Microsoft office

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree, finance, communications, business, MS disciplines preferred
  • Experience building and leading team of insides sales hunters
  • Understanding of the Financial industry and Solutions, or similar applications and technology
  • Experience in selling any the following solutions is a plus: ATMs, Kiosks, Networking and Communications, Enterprise Data Warehousing, Call Centers, Internet Banking, CRM, Managed services, Branch solutions, Mobile Banking
