The position / About the Job:
In this job the Strategic Purchaser would be responsible for:
- Ensure Selection of the right suppliers enables proactive quality assurance for projects,
- manufacturing and service.
- Management of supplier relationships to minimize supply chain risks and maximize value from
- the suppliers.
- Responsible to set a new supply chain for Nuclear Project orders to meet ISO 19443 a nuclearspecific
- quality management standard designed to improve safety and quality throughout the
- nuclear supply chain.
- Communicate new product requirements and product specifications to our suppliers
- Secure the supplier performance in terms of Delivery & Quality.
- In case of deviations, limit the deviation and carry out corrective measures
- Support the handshake process
- Focus and track daily results related to the three defined purchasing milestones (quality,
- delivery, cost)
- Be active at Cell Status Board meetings
- Be active in problem solving and other improvement activities
- Suggest improvements on Instructions / SOP's
- Always consider the possibility of eliminating waste
- Engage in safety and quality work and immediately call TM/UM when problems or risks arise
- Take responsibility for their own development and to stay informed
- Forecast & logic-based planning
- Supplier audits & visits if necessary
Key tasks:
- Create/update supplier agreements considering optimal total cost, risk exposure,
- product mix.
- Follow up supplier audit/business principal audit deviations to ensure suppliers to
- meet Alfa Laval demanding.
- Support with sourcing strategy inputs from China/East Asia region perspective and
- execute commodity sourcing strategy.
- Support new product introduction sourcing activity.
- Identification of new suppliers and consolidation of supplier base.
- Expertise in Specially ISO 19443 , a nuclear-specific quality management standard
- designed to improve safety and quality throughout the nuclear supply chain.
- Execute supplier qualification procedures.
- Drive commercial development activities and supplier development
- Drive assigned tasks for corrective actions regarding suppliers Safety, Quality,
- Delivery, Cost.
- Meet performance target by working closely with global commodities responsible.
- Responsible for supplier improvement activities, act as resolution leader in PIM
- (Purchasing Improvement Meeting) assignment.
Who you are?
Operational Buyer based in Satara to drive purchasing process, the supplier forecast and Material
Management and consequently to the replenishment process, the supply of materials is continuously
ensured according to the requirements of both internal and external customers.
What you can be?
- B.E.in Mechanical / B.E. in Production engineering with minimum 4-5 years’ experience in
- relevant field.
- Deep knowledge of the ERP system
- Supply Chain Understanding
- Supplier association
- Good knowledge of the business and processes of the company
- Good communication skills.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- You are proactive.
- You have good cross functional awareness.
