The Opportunity
Join our dynamic team as a Strategic Marketing Lead, where you will be responsible for strategic marketing activities across the HVC, Dairy & Livestock, and Turf Production Systems for the Australia/New Zealand market. This role offers a unique opportunity to utilize the Customer Acquisition Process (CAP 1.0 and 2.0) to conduct market research, gather insights, and develop production system and customer requirements. You will play a crucial role in developing business cases for solution development that lead to long-term business opportunities and plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a link between customer insights, customer acquisition, and the product development process.
- Manage the strategic product plan by Production System.
- Work with Product Engineering, dealers, and customers to manage infield testing programs for pre-production equipment.
- Execute ECAP 1.0 & 2.0 across the HVC, Dairy & Livestock, and Turf Production Systems.
- Gather and interpret industry and competitive intelligence to develop long-term strategies.
- Support testing and validating potential production system solutions with dealers, industry, and customers.
- Identify and quantify local Agronomic and Economic opportunities.
- Conduct market and competitive research to determine long-range marketing requirements, industry trends, new markets, and new product opportunities.
- Participate and make recommendations during the development of strategic and marketing plans.
- Collaborate with tactical marketing to design "Go to Market" plans and projects based on customer insights.
Major Duties
Required Skills:
- Market Research and Analysis: Proficiency in conducting market research, gathering insights, and interpreting industry and competitive intelligence
- Customer Acquisition Process (CAP 1.0 and 2.0): Experience in utilizing CAP to develop production system and customer requirements
- Strategic Planning: Ability to develop long-term strategies for each production system, including product development opportunities, product specifications, and distribution
- Business Case Development: Expertise in developing comprehensive business cases, sales forecasts, market share projections, and financial metrics
- Product Development: Experience in managing the strategic product plan by production system and working with product engineering, dealers, and customers to manage infield testing programs for pre-production equipment
- Agronomic and Economic Analysis: Ability to identify and quantify local agronomic and economic opportunities
- Leadership: Leadership skills to support the branch product development prioritization process and participate in the development of strategic and marketing plans
- Collaboration: Strong collaboration skills to work with tactical marketing, product engineering, dealers, and customers
- Communication: Excellent communication skills to serve as a link between customer insights, customer acquisition, and the product development process
Desired Skills:
- Ability to support testing and validating potential production system solutions with dealers, industry, and customers to ensure they meet local market requirements
- Exposure to autonomous and electric vehicles
