Strategic Finance Analyst (Infrastructure)

About the Role

As the Strategic Finance Analyst focusing on infrastructure, you will be responsible for supporting and driving key investment decisions we make on dedicated infrastructure. This is a cross-functional and strategic role, working closely with engineers, research scientists, and external partners. 

We believe that increasing compute is a huge lever to AI progress and we build some of the largest Supercomputers in the world.  You won’t encounter any other organization in the world with as much compute per employee. We are a small team that moves quickly, with access to huge resources, working with a direct impact on the success of OpenAI and, by extension, the field of AI as a whole.

This role is based in our San Francisco HQ. We operate on a hybrid work model with three days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance. 

In this role, you will:

• Decision Model: Building and maintaining financial and investment models for highly-structured infrastructure projects.  

• Synthesize and Recommend: Analyzing, developing and communicating objective recommendations involving the financing of critical infrastructure projects.

Experience

• 4+ years of experience across infrastructure investing, private / growth equity, private credit, investment banking, or restructuring

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.  MBA/CFA helpful but not required

• Experience with project finance, capital project and infrastructure financial analysis, large-scale investment projects

• Demonstrated exceptionally strong analytical, financial modeling, and written and oral communication skills

• Working knowledge of infrastructure investing is strongly preferred
