Get to Know the Team
The Regional Market Insights Team plays a pivotal role in influencing Grab's strategic and operational decisions by offering insights on industry developments and competitive dynamics. We evaluate the landscape through diverse lenses and complement traditional market research and analysis with innovative techniques.
Get to Know the Role
Reporting to the Lead Market Analyst on a hybrid work arrangement, our team comprises individuals from varied backgrounds, each bringing a unique set of experiences and skills to the table. An individual who excels at teamwork, and is able to navigate through uncertainties would thrive in this role.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- Develop, maintain strong stakeholder relationships, including external data vendors and third-party research firms. Oversee and provide guidance on data collection processes.
- Liaise with the Tech team to build scalable solutions on monitoring industry trends.
- Closely observe industry activities, collect movements and provide sense-making on the competitive landscape, "connect the dots" to form strategic narrative.
- Evaluate potential threats and make strategic recommendations to influence decision-making.
Qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- Strong ability to break down complex concepts
- At least 3 years of experience in a management consulting or tech industry.
- Critical thinker who is able to logically analyse complex and ambiguous problems.
- Strong understanding of statistics
- Capable of working effectively within a cross-functional team; strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills are essential.
- Ability to speak a South East Asian language a bonus
- Adaptable and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
