Job brief:
The Strategic Account Lead is responsible for working directly with The Weather Company’s most strategic partners to drive demand and sales for media, data, and technology solutions across brands, agencies, and clients in the ecosystem.
The Strategic Account Lead will be comfortable selling and managing complex AI-driven media campaigns, focusing on partnerships within the Retail and Restaurant verticals. A passion for AI, cognitive computing, data, and ad-tech solutions is essential, along with a strong willingness to engage in continuous learning and discovery.
The ideal candidate will have a consultative sales approach and be prepared to educate senior-level clients and agencies on new and emerging technologies in the media landscape.
As the primary driver of client strategy and engagement, the Strategic Account Lead will collaborate as a team player within The Weather Company to exceed annual goals. Responsibilities include developing new business opportunities as well as maintaining and expanding relationships with existing clients.
The impact you'll make:
- Develop and maintain relationships with our largest clients and prospects.
- Create and maintain trust with marketing decision-makers through a consultative selling approach.
- Manage customer/client relationships throughout the full sales cycle.
- Lead account planning, relationship mapping, pipeline development, and revenue forecasting for your book of business.
- Utilize all available sources to identify potential customers.
- Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to develop client solutions and proposals that drive results.
- Manage expenses responsibly.
- Provide excellent customer service and effectively steward internal resources to meet client needs.
What you've accomplished:
- Excitement and curiosity about AI and cognitive solutions are must-haves, and you should welcome continued learning and discovery.
- At least 5 years of experience in Outside Media, Data, or Technology Sales.
- Consultative sales experience.
- A strong network of appropriate contacts at all agency and client levels.
- Full sales cycle experience, from prospecting to account maintenance.
- Proposal writing experience.
Nice to have:
- Advertising agency background and experience.
- Experience with network or ad tech platforms.
- Strong collaboration skills to work with internal production teams.
- Proficiency in developing and executing strategic marketing plans.
- Experience in the retail and restaurant categories.
Base Salary: $170,000-$180,000
The base salary offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region of work premises, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
