Your Role
As part of the Co-CEO Hub Technology team, the Storage Administrator 2 will work in a 24x7 fast-paced environment focused on adding value. You will be involved in understanding problems, such as how to best position technologies and services to enhance the challenges across a global firm—managing a globally distributed storage platform that provides our practitioners the best performance, redundancy, and resilience.
What You Will Do
- Perform daily system analysis to assess risks and address them as needed
- Responsible for configuration and support of global storage infrastructure using NetApp, Panzura, Pure, and VMware VSAN technologies
- Builds and configures SAN and NAS storage arrays with working knowledge of CIFS/SMB, NFS, and iSCSI protocols
- Ensure new storage technologies are adequately tested and integrated into existing services
- Assists with the development, testing, and enforcement of disaster recovery, backup, and archival plans against storage technologies
- Create and maintain documentation of storage system environments
- Develop and maintain appropriate operation plans to meet defined service level agreements
- Provide capacity planning and forecasting for all storage environments
- Resolve complex IT issues in a Tier 3 capacity
- Continually review, recommend and initiate change requests as needed
- Suggest improvements based on technology, best practices, or changing requirements
- Manage and coordinate efforts to support the global needs of a 24x7 environment
- Interface with vendors regarding complex issues and see through to resolution
- Participate in rotational on-call pager duties
- Participate in rotational maintenance duties
- Assist and mentor junior members on the team
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in building and maintaining storage system environments
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and balance conflicting demands
- Strong analytical skills coupled with technical creativity and vision
- Excellent understanding of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases, data storage systems, and telecommunications systems
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with teams across the entire organization
- Excellent leadership and decision-making skills
- United States citizenship for government project administration
- Fluent English language skills
- Ability to co-lift 50 pounds to complete occasional data center tasks
- Certifications such as NetApp NCTA/NCDA/NCIE, VMware VCP/VCAP, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Azure AZ900 or AZ104, ITIL, CompTIA Server+/Cloud+
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with enterprise data migrations to cloud platforms
- Experience working with global file-sharing/collaboration technologies
- Strong knowledge of project management principles
- Strong knowledge of security best practices as they overlap with areas of responsibility
- Extensive familiarity with NetApp (Data Ontap 9+, CVO, ANF), Panzura, Pure Storage, CIFS/SMB/iSCSI/NFS, Active Directory, DFS, NTFS, and cloud platforms (Azure and AWS), VMware
- Scripting languages such as Powershell a plus
- Ansible and Terraform a plus
