Job title: Stockbroking Commercial Strategy Manager

Location: Leeds

Salary: £57,546 - £63,940

Hours: Full time

Working Pattern: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at our Leeds office.

About this opportunity:

Established in 1997, we're LBG’s retail stockbroking arm providing an execution-only share dealing service to half a million customers. With substantial investment being made over the coming years in a new platform and improved customer journeys, we're poised for significant growth.

Our Stockbroking Commercial Team is the heart of this transformation. We're responsible for delivering the sales plan for Stockbroking by understanding customer behaviour, crafting impactful marketing initiatives and collaborating with Marketing, Products and Digital to bring these initiatives to life.

As Stockbroking Commercial Strategy Manager, you'll help us interpret the external market, identifying trends and competitors’ strategies to stay ahead in the industry.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Develop and implement strategic and tactical plans to increase existing customer activity, reduce attrition and increase revenue per customer.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Digital Customer Experience, Products, and our Transformation labs to attract new customers and optimise the sales funnel.
  • Proactively identify and anticipate commercial business opportunities to stay ahead of market trends.
  • Analyse business performance drivers and our P&L, making data-driven decisions that uncover opportunities and drive actionable insights.
  • Work closely with the Commercial Reporting Team to understand our customer base and identify segment-specific opportunities.
  • Mentor and develop team members, encouraging a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

  • A commercial mentality with shown experience of building business cases that require positive relationships with colleagues across a variety of functions.
  • An awareness of the investment market and the revenue drivers of the business. An understanding of how politics, economic data and trends affects the business’ commercials would be advantageous.
  • Proficient in Excel and producing PowerPoint presentations for senior management is a must. Knowledge of Adobe Analytics and Power BI would be beneficial.
  • Specialist product and technical knowledge in one or more of the following areas is beneficial but not essential: Investments, Stockbroking, Pensions, or Wealth.

And it’s why we especially welcome applications from under-represented groups. We’re disability confident. So, if you’d like reasonable adjustments to be made to our recruitment processes, just let us know.

We also offer a wide-ranging benefits package, which includes:
