THE JOB:

It is the responsibility of the Steward Supervisor to manage the Stewarding department by overseeing property operations. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and MGM Resorts policies, practices, and procedures. 

 

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Oversee daily operations in the stewarding department to meet and exceed goals.
  • Achieve targets for service quality, financial performance, and team management.
  • Handle HR tasks like promoting teamwork, giving feedback, recognizing achievements, and supporting employee satisfaction.
  • Ensure quality hiring, training, and succession planning, with a focus on diversity and compliance with company policies and legal standards.
  • Review the department’s monthly budget and financial reports, identify areas for improvement, and work with managers to make necessary changes.
  • Keep staffing levels within allocated limits.
  • Plan training procedures for department staff.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors and services, including the Health Department and other regulatory bodies.
  • Help manage purchase needs and supply requests for the Food & Beverage outlets.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other hotel departments as needed.
  • Conduct walk-through inspections of kitchen areas.
  • Maintain employee records, including schedules, attendance, performance, and any disciplinary actions.
  • Inform employees of policies, standards, and health code requirements.
  • Follow and support all company programs and initiatives.


THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

· Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

· 2 years of experience of prior relevant experience

· Ability to work varied shifts to include weekends and holidays

· Strong teamwork and communication skills.

· Able to plan and coordinate work with vendors, contractors, and other internal departments.

· Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills

Pay Range:

The typical pay range for this role is:

Minimum - Maximum

$42,112.58 - $67,380.54

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.
