State Street Global Advisors: Internship Program - Marketing & Business Risk Management, (12 Months Rotational Internship)

The Middle East is a key strategic initiative for State Street Global Advisors and marketing new strategies, products and research is paramount to continued engagement in the region. The Marketing Intern will be key in this effort to deliver marketing and event programs, including measurement and refinement of these activities, for the Middle East and Africa region. The role will also support global marketing for the Official Institutions Group where appropriate. The role will execute on marketing programs in alignment with business objectives, client concerns and sales goals.
In your second rotation, you will be part of the SSGA EMEA Business Risk team who are responsible for providing a holistic view of the risk and control environment SSGA operates in. Your work will help support the business in improving controls, culture and governance and ensuring the business is able to position itself effectively to satisfactorily meet regulatory expectations and requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
MEA Marketing:

Execute digital campaigns for the marketing channels in the Middle East and Africa region, as well as for Official Institutions Group where appropriate - working with the EMEA marketing manager, channel marketers, and Marketo SMEs

Partner with the global digital marketing team to post or update materials on relevant websites and social media.

Work closely with marketing, sales, and other departments to align event goals with broader company objectives. Supporting marketing events where appropriate.

Assist the Marketing Manager for EMEA in daily administrative tasks

Assist with the preparation of presentations, reports, and partner communications.

Support the management and tracking of channel marketing programs, promotions, and partner incentives.

Help organize and distribute relevant sales materials and resources.

Monitor marketing budgets and provide updates.
BRME Intern:

Assisting in the global Controls Rationalisation, Assurance and Testing programme

Assist in production of Governance reporting materials and help to develop, improve and automate reporting capabilities

Provide appropriate management information as required to support business unit decision making

Working with colleagues and subject matter experts to review the impact of new or proposed regulations on SSGA’s business, documenting assessments and performing gap analysis

Assist in identification, documentation and resolution of issues and incidents

Contribute to a wide variety of initiatives as a dependable and flexible resource
Required Skills or Certifications
-
Studying or completed a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Event Management, or a related field.

Proven experience in event planning/coordination (minimum 2 years).

Strong administrative and organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management tools.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Experience with Marketo and event management platforms is a plus.

Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships across the business teams and divisions within State Street

Well organised with an attention to detail and ability to prioritise quality over quantity

High level of initiative and ability to process and communicate complex issues

Ability to identify problems and explore solutions

Interest in AI and how this can be implemented to improve business processes
