The Role

As a State and Local Account Executive at Pantheon, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our presence within the state and local government sector. This role offers the opportunity to leverage your entrepreneurial spirit to drive new business growth, build meaningful relationships with government agencies, and contribute to the success of our clients. You'll help public sector organizations unlock the full potential of Pantheon's WebOps platform, making a tangible impact in their digital transformation efforts.

What you Need to Succeed

  • A strategic and consultative approach to sales, with a focus on building long-term, mutually beneficial client relationships.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to craft compelling proposals that align with client objectives and Pantheon's value proposition.
  • High emotional intelligence and adaptability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative in exploring and developing new business opportunities.
  • Build and foster strong, partnership-oriented relationships with key stakeholders, including Google Public Sector, Carahsoft, and other strategic partners, to drive collaboration and achieve mutual goals.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure client success and satisfaction.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of sales activities.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and innovate in a startup-like environment, leveraging limited resources to achieve outsized results.

What you Bring to the Table

  • 5+ years of SaaS or PaaS sales experience; start-up or early-stage company experience preferred, with at least 3+ years of outside sales or "hunting" experience.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in the state and local government sector.
  • Experience navigating complex sales cycles and a solid understanding of government decision-making processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to tailor solutions addressing the unique needs of government clients.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving market trends, competitor strategies, and technological advancements in web development and hosting.

The US OTE range for this position is $200,000 - $230,000 per year. Our salary ranges are determined by the role, level, and location.
