Job Summery:

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Standards Research Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our research into international products and processes requirements for buildings around the world are correct reflections of the relevant standards and regulations. This role involves thorough checking of research and assisting with research for codes and standards. It will also involve developing and implementing quality assurance protocols for the compliance research team and collaborating with various departments to make sure the outputs work for all parts of the company that are involved. 


What are you Going to do?

📌 Conduct comprehensive reviews on relevant standards and regulations research done by the research team. Checking interpretation of the standards and finding supporting or counter product examples to argue for your view point.

📌 Work with the research team to help understanding in areas of code that are ambiguous or difficult to understand.

📌 Develop and implement quality assurance protocols to ensure the research done is correct to the compliance with industry standards and our applications. 

📌 Assist product development with reviews of product to check that it meets compliance requirements. 

📌 Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product design, engineering, and manufacturing, to address issues and implement corrective actions. 

📌 Monitor and report on quality assurance metrics and performance indicators.

📌 Conduct internal audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and to ensure the quality of our data. 

📌 Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance. 

📌 Provide training and guidance to the research experts standards about code and standards to help improve the skill level of the team.


What are we Looking for? 

✔ Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Quality Assurance, Engineering, or a related discipline. 

✔ Minimum of 5 years of experience standards research or testing, or a related role.

✔ Strong knowledge of the building industry standards and regulations or product standards, including IBC, IRC, NZ/AS ISO, ASTM, UL and other relevant standards.

✔ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. 

✔ Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

✔ Proficiency in quality assurance tools and software.

✔ Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. 

✔ Good English skills for both verbal and written communication 


Nice to have:

✔ Experience in construction industry products or compliance.

✔ Certification in quality assurance or related fields (e.g., CQE, CQA).

✔ Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements for international markets.
